In an information-rich world, it can be a constant challenge to keep everyone informed about what is happening at the City of Charles Sturt. With this in mind we try to reach as many people as possible through various mediums:
Kaleidoscope is released quarterly and is filled with interesting community articles, Council information and photos that reflects our vibrant community between the city and the sea.
Diamond Bytes. Similar to the printed publication Kaleidoscope, Diamond Bytes brings you stories, news and events within our Council area. The eNewsletter, sent throughout the year to your email will provide current, up to date information in an easy to read format via email. Sign up today!
Media Releases are used to share Council news with the print and broadcast media (newspaper, radio, tv etc).
We release a fortnightly Messenger column in the local Messenger paper to keep you informed of what is happening in our City.
Now you can find out which rubbish bin needs to go out tonight, or what's the nearest park to me or what events are happening in the area this weekend and more, all from your smart phone with this great app.
News in a Flash is produced for our Elected Members. It keeps them up-to-date with news from the Local Government Association and various other organisations. It also contains updates on our current projects and activities.
The Local Government Act 1989 requires that a Council must ensure that any public notice required to be given by the Council is published on our website.
Social media is a part of everyday life: on the internet, on tv, even at work. Charles Sturt wants to communicate and connect with everyone in the community in ways that are meaningful, effective and honest. We are currently using Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
